Welcome to the Kohala Hospital Charitable Foundation web page. These pages are designed to help you learn about how the Foundation supports Kohala Hospital and how you can help make a difference in the lives of the patients and the community we serve.
Currently, Kohala Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital with both acute and long term care services, and a 24 hour Emergency Room.
The hospital is a member of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, an agency of the State of Hawaii established in 1996.
Our primary purpose is to raise money and awareness to support the mission and services of the Kohala Hospital.
We pursue our mission by:
- Working closely with the Kohala Hospital administration in order to identify equipment, programs and services that need our financial support.
- Keeping the community aware of our work and the services of the hospital.
- Developing and maintaining healthy partnerships with other community based non-profit organizations.
- Building and sustaining positive donor relationships.
We are a private, not for profit corporation, and qualify as a charitable foundation under section 501 (C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
All gifts to the Kohala Hospital Charitable Foundation will be recognized and handled in the manner that donors expect. We abide by the nationally accepted Donor Bill of Rights We offer patients, families, concerned citizens, corporations and foundations ways to support the enhancement of the hospital’s services.
